2007 IN FULL

**THANKS TO ALL OUR CLIENTS AND OUR TEAM FOR MAKING 2007 A GREAT SUCCESS**

NRHA FUTURITY 2007 This year saw us again very well situated in Barn 6 at the futurity and we had a good show. Mike made the finals on Hilldale Farm's Helluva Chex and only just missed the finals on Mike and Nathalie's and Greenway Stable's Rio Good Wrangler. He went on to add just over $6000 to Helluva Chex's earnings in the finals. This horse will be shown in 2008 in the non pro by Jessicah Keller. Nathalie had a great show on her mare Mark Me Big who she only got to ride just before the show and did very well. This big stopping mare made the Ltd Non Pro finals and then went on to get 4th in the finals earning a little over $3200 - well done Nathalie! We had plenty of visitors at the show, both local and international and it was great to see everyone. We are very much looking forward to working with our clients in 2008 and showing in the Derbies early next year.

NOVEMBER 2007 We had the last local show of the year in Williamston, NC for the SERHA Fall Classic and ABI Futurity. Mike showed Einsteins Revolution for trainer Ruben Van Dorp owned by Wagner and Van Dorp. He rode him in the Novice Horse Open and the Open class taking 1st place in both making "Junior" the first horse to earn over $300,000 NRHA. This was an awesome event and great to see Mike show this outstanding stallion. Thanks to Ruben and Melissa for allowing Mike to show him and for entertaining us all weekend! Mike also won the Novice Open class on Sunday with Jimmy Pierce's Hollywood Aces. Watch for Mike and Aces at shows next year. Peter DeFreitas did very well on Monica Watson's Wimpys Full Brother taking reserve in the Ltd Open ABI futurity and also on Johnny and Trudy Brooks' Smart Little Cielo placing top 5 in both Ltd Open and the very competitive Nov horse Open class. Martin showed Chris Neeld Leslie's Darlene Jazz for the last time as this mare is due to foal in 2008 and he was 3rd in the Ltd Open. Chris flew down for the show from Price Edward Island, Canada and showed her own Smarty Pep Whiskey for the first time. She had 2 great rides and looked awesome in the showpen. We are looking forward to seeing her show Whiskey next year

OCTOBER 2007 Mike and Nathalie had a great Congress with Mike making it back to the finals on Hilldale Farm's Helluva Chex and Nathalie making it back to the Non Pro finals on Rio Good Wrangler placing 3rd in the Ltd from her go-round run. Helluva Chex had a great run in the finals to mark 224 and place 5th overall. Nathalie also had an awesome run in her finals to mark 215 1/2 among some very tough competition to get 5th place overall. Mike also placed in the big Open class aboard Elizabeth Cosper's Lil Ruf Whiz Quiz. Martin earnt money in the Ltd open Futurity on Susan Damerell's mare Darlene Enterprise and he also placed in the ancillary Ltd Open class on Chris Neeld's mare Darlene Jazz. Incidentally, both of these mares are out of the same dam Darlene Jac. Congratulations to everyone for a great show and we also enjoyed the shopping!

After Congress, Mike and Nathalie went back on the road along with assistant trainers Peter DeFreitas and Brandon Naples headed for Murfreesboro, Tenneessee. Peter was a close 2nd by 1/2 point in the Ltd Open Derby on Trudy Brooks' daughter of Rooster, Smart Little Cielo. Brandon showed Crownroyal BH for British owner Dave Evans in the Ltd Open Futurity and scored 144 1/2 to take 1st place and win a bronze trophy! Peter showed Gunners Crome Son for owners Henk and Karolien Hendrikse and placed 3rd in the Ltd Open The team are now headed to Ardmore, Oklahoma for the SWRHA futurity show - watch this space!

SEPTEMBER 2007 ~ We had 2 shows in September, the first being the Tradition in Ohio and the 2nd being the Southeastern Affilaite Finals in Clemson, South Carolina. Mike showed the fancy colt MDS Chromed Velvet for Dave and Joanne Hodges having a good run to place 4th in the Open Futurity. Peter DeFreitas showed Priscilla Jacquard's Dunit Little Star to 2nd in the Ltd open and 4th in the Intermediate Open - well done.

The second show of September saw Brandon Naples showing Christine Neeld's Baroom Jazz in the affiliate finals for the Ltd Open and the Rookie professional. Brandon has an awesome run on "Bazz" to get 1st place and bring home 2 pewter trophies and 2 bronzes plus a huge amount of other prizes - we are all proud of them both. Teresa Ebersberger also rode her own Dun Feelin Surprise to 1st place in the Intermediate Non Pro and she has consequently sold "Bear".  We are looking forward to hearing about Bear in his new home.

AUGUST 2007 ~ Mike rode 2 horses, Helluva Chex and Wimpys Little Stepson in the Open Futurity at Tulsa, Oklahoma along with Peter Defreitas on Wimpys Full brother, Nathalie on Rio Good Wrangler, Victor Gilson on Coyote Secret Spirit and Melony Jackson no BH Whizin Ona Melody. The open futurity had 130 horses entered and the Non pro had 49 so the competition was strong. This made warming up very interesting as the show was also hosting the Affiliate classes and apparently there were over 1000 horses at the show altogether. Mike had a great run on Helluva Chex to score 220.5 and take 4th place in the Open Futurity. Nathalie also had a good run and ended 3rd in the Ltd Non Pro futurity as well as placing in the other Non Pro divisions on her fancy stud, Rio Good Wrangler. Peter finished 6th in the Ltd Open on Wimpys Full Brother and Melony placed in the Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro with her mare. Next stop is Congress for most of these horses so we are looking forward top that greatly!

JULY 2007 ~ Mike and Nathalie along with Peter and Brandon showed in Perry Georgia for the Dorminy Plantation Futurity. Mike was just one place out of the money with Karolien Hendrikse's horse Gunners Crome Son and very close behind were his other two 3 year olds Chex This Action and MDS Chromed Velvet. Nathalie was reserve in the Ltd Non Pro Futurity with Rio Good Wrangler and Wrangler has now won just under $2000 with just 2 shows - we can't way to see them show in Tulsa :-)

JANUARY 2007 ~ Mike starts off the year well by getting 2nd with John Faulkner's The Great Guntini at the Bill Horn Shootout Derby. 2nd place paid $10,000 and a saddle so congratulations to owner John and his flashy 4 year old APHA stallion.  This was a very tough event with many good Derby horses being shown including Smart Spook, Einsteins Revolution, Spooks Rey Jay etc. Mike scored a 225 1/2 to get 2nd and was very pleased with his horse's performance. Einsteins Revolution won the event with a 226 1/2  The Great Guntini will stand for the first time at stud in 2007 for an introductory fee of $2000.

The first go went well for all 3 horses scoring 223.5, 220.5 and 219 respectively. The Great Guntini had a good second go putting him into the Open Finals on Saturday night. A small bobble by Gunners Doll put her just out of the finals and Miss Gunny just missed the finals by just 1/2 point.
