Right here in the heart of reining country of California you will find our new facilities. We are easily accessible, 45 minutes South of Sacramento.

At McEntire Reining Horses the emphasis is on quality not quantity and you will find customer service with distinctive care. Our focus is to train and market top quality reining horses right here on the West Coast with some of the best bloodlines in the country.

Mike McEntire

Mike’s reputation is one of honesty and professional good ethics. His training philosophy is guided by his appreciation  and consideration for the horse. With his lifelong dedication Mike is involved in all aspects of the Reining World.

Training and Showing

Mike has reached the milestone of NRHA lifetime earnings of over a million dollars.

He has been ranked top twenty professional rider every year since the beginning of the program. He has won numerous NRHA World Championships and Futurity Championships including twice the prestigious Open Congress Futurity.

Accredited Judge

Mike is an NRHA and USEF approved judge and is serving on the NRHA judges committee.

He has judged prestigious NRHA events such as the USEF Finals in Gladstone, the NRHA Derby, the German Futurity, several shows in Italy and the Western Festival in Mallorca, Spain.

Teacher and Mentor

Mike has a great eye for a horse and rider. He is a Trainers Trainer but also helps Non-Pro riders pinpoint their needs. His Non Pros have succeeded in multiple prestigious NRHA Events.

Mike is an avid Clinician and enjoys teaching students around the World.

Nathalie McEntire and SuperFilly - Congress Futurity Champions

Nathalie McEntire

Nathalie is the  Office Manager of McEntire Reining Horses.

In her spare time she rides her favorite horse "SuperFilly"

Nathalie has a lifetime experience in stallion and mare management. She attended college in Canada and graduated with a certificate in reproduction and ultrasound techniques from Texas A&M. Nathalie has attended seminars with select breeders on frozen semen.

Nathalie’s passion is bloodlines,broodmares and babies

which shows in her experience and quality of service with customers and horses.

 

Cole Sutton

Cole has been with Team McEntire since 2014.

This passionate young trainer has a soft feel and patience for the horses.

Cole started his Reining career in 2009 when he won his first NRHA Youth Reining Class. He worked hard since and in 2013 he was 6th in the World in the Rookie Professional Class.

Even though Cole has quite some years of show experience,  he is currently eligible for the lower Levels of the NRHA divisions.
